PDF Tools (22)
Convert, merge, split, compress, protect and edit PDF files.
What are pdf tools?
PDF tools let you change a PDF without buying a desktop editor — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, protecting and editing pages. Farvixo runs all of them inside your browser using WebAssembly, so contracts, invoices and identity documents are never uploaded to a server, and there is no watermark or page limit on the result.
Why use Farvixo's pdf tools?
- Merge, split, rotate and reorder pages with a live preview before you commit
- Convert both ways — PDF to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and images, or any of those back to PDF
- Compress to a target file size for email attachments and government upload forms
- OCR for scanned documents, including Hindi and Bengali, so scans become searchable text
- Password-protected PDFs are handled locally; the password never travels anywhere
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert a PDF to Word without losing the layout?
Use the PDF Converter or PDF to Word tool. Both reconstruct the document from its text positions rather than dumping raw text, so columns, tables and headings survive. A scanned PDF has no text layer at all — run PDF OCR on it first, then convert.
How much can a PDF be compressed?
It depends entirely on what is inside. A text-heavy report may barely shrink because text is already efficiently stored, while a PDF built from photos or scans often drops by 70–90%. The compressor lets you set a target size, which is what upload forms actually enforce.
Can I edit the text inside an existing PDF?
Yes, with the PDF Editor. Bear in mind that PDF is a fixed-layout format — it stores where each character sits, not paragraphs. Short corrections work well; rewriting a page is usually easier by converting to Word, editing there, and converting back.
Is there a page or file size limit?
No server-imposed limit, because there is no server involved. The practical ceiling is your device memory. Files of a few hundred megabytes generally work; very large scanned documents are faster if you split them first.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
For almost every tool, no. Processing runs inside your browser using WebAssembly, so the file never leaves your device. The exception is the AI tools, which must send your text to a language model to get an answer back — those tool pages say so explicitly rather than claiming privacy they cannot offer.
Is there a catch — are these really free?
They are free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no usage cap. Because the work happens on your device rather than our servers, the tools cost us almost nothing to offer. The site is supported by advertising, which is kept out of the tool workspace itself.
