Frequently Asked Questions
Will my columns get cut off?
That is the usual complaint with spreadsheet conversion, and it comes from a sheet wider than the page. Choose landscape orientation or fit-to-width before converting. A very wide sheet may genuinely need to split across pages — no format can fold thirty columns onto A4 legibly.
Are formulas preserved?
PDF stores the calculated results, not the formulas — it is a fixed document, not a spreadsheet. If someone needs to change the numbers, send the Excel file. PDF is for when you want the figures frozen exactly as they are.
Can I convert several sheets at once?
Yes. Each worksheet becomes its own section in the PDF, in the order it appears in the workbook. You can also select specific sheets rather than converting the whole file.
Does it work with CSV?
Yes. CSV carries no formatting of its own, so a clean table layout is applied automatically. Make sure the source is saved as UTF-8 if it contains non-English text, or the characters will not survive.
Is my spreadsheet uploaded?
No. Conversion runs in your browser, which matters because spreadsheets routinely hold pricing, payroll and client data that should not pass through a third-party server.

Tips for better results

Common problems and how to fix them
The PDF will not load
The file is encrypted or was produced by a non-standard writer. Open it in a PDF reader, print it back to PDF, and try again.
Text comes out garbled or as boxes
The PDF has no embedded font or no text layer at all. A scanned page needs OCR first — use PDF OCR, then re-run this tool.
The browser tab becomes unresponsive
The document is larger than the available memory. Close other tabs, or split the PDF and process it in sections.
