Image Tools (13)
Convert, compress, resize, crop and enhance images with AI.
What are image tools?
Image tools convert, compress, resize, crop and clean up pictures without installing an editor. Farvixo decodes and re-encodes every image in your browser with the same codecs a desktop app uses, so nothing is uploaded, full resolution is preserved, and no watermark is added to what you download.
Why use Farvixo's image tools?
- Convert between JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF, with formats measured at equal visual quality rather than at the same meaningless quality number
- Compress to a target KB size for upload forms that enforce one
- Resize and crop with presets for documents, social platforms and the web
- Background removal and watermark removal that run locally
- Re-encoding strips EXIF and GPS metadata automatically, so location data does not travel with a shared photo
Frequently Asked Questions
Which image format should I use?
AVIF gives the smallest files on a modern website, WebP is the safe web choice when you also need older browser support, JPEG when maximum compatibility matters, and PNG for logos, screenshots or anything needing transparency or exact pixels. The Image Converter measures all of them at equal quality and recommends one.
How do I reduce an image to a specific KB size?
Use the Image Compressor and set the target size. If a form specifies both pixel dimensions and a KB limit, set the dimensions first and then lower quality until the size fits — resizing does far more for file size than quality alone.
Why did my transparent PNG turn black when I saved it as JPG?
JPEG cannot store transparency. Rather than silently filling it with black, our converter asks you to choose a background colour first. If you need transparency, export to PNG, WebP or AVIF instead.
Does compressing an image reduce its dimensions?
Not by itself. Compression lowers quality to reduce file size while keeping the same pixel dimensions. Resizing changes the dimensions. Most upload problems are solved fastest by resizing first, then compressing.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
For almost every tool, no. Processing runs inside your browser using WebAssembly, so the file never leaves your device. The exception is the AI tools, which must send your text to a language model to get an answer back — those tool pages say so explicitly rather than claiming privacy they cannot offer.
Is there a catch — are these really free?
They are free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no usage cap. Because the work happens on your device rather than our servers, the tools cost us almost nothing to offer. The site is supported by advertising, which is kept out of the tool workspace itself.
