Video Watermark
Add text watermarks to videos
What is Video Watermark?
Video Watermark is a free browser-based video tool from Farvixo that lets you add text watermarks to videos. It uses an in-browser FFmpeg build compiled to WebAssembly, so even large clips are processed on your own machine and never uploaded. No account, no watermark and no per-file size limit imposed by a server.
How to use Video Watermark
Select a video file in Video Watermark. Conversion happens in your browser using WebAssembly, so even large files never get uploaded anywhere.
Choose the output format, resolution and bitrate — or start from a ready-made preset if you are not sure what to pick.
Start the conversion and watch the progress bar; longer clips take a little time because the work runs on your own machine. Download when it finishes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where should the watermark sit?
A corner is standard and least intrusive. Bear in mind that platforms crop videos differently for feed previews, so keep it away from the extreme edge or it may be cut off on some placements.
Does watermarking re-encode the video?
It has to — the watermark is drawn into the frames themselves. Quality settings let you control how much that costs, and at sensible settings the difference is not visible.
Does Farvixo add its own watermark?
No. The only text on your video is the text you chose. No branding, no length limit, no sign-up.
What opacity should I use?
Around 40–60% keeps the mark readable without dominating the picture. Check it against the brightest and busiest scene in the clip rather than the first frame.
Can I use a logo image instead of text?
Text is supported directly here. For a logo, our Watermark Image tool handles image marks — and for video, a simple text mark survives compression better than a detailed logo.

Video Watermark at a glance
- Tool
- Video Watermark — Video Tools
- Purpose
- Add text watermarks to videos
- Input
- A single file (MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI, MKV)
- Output
- Video file in the selected container and codec
- Processing
- In your browser — files are never uploaded to a server
- Price
- Free, unlimited, no account required
- Limitations
- Bounded by your device's memory and CPU rather than a server quota; very large files may be slow on older hardware
Tips for better results
- Processing speed depends on your own CPU, since the work is local. A laptop on battery-saver will be noticeably slower.
- H.264 (MP4) is the safest choice for compatibility; VP9 or AV1 give smaller files but decode slowly on older devices.
- Leave the tab open and visible — a backgrounded tab gets throttled by the browser and the encode will crawl.
Common problems and how to fix them
The encode is very slow
Everything runs on your device rather than a server farm. Pick a lower resolution or a faster preset, keep the tab in the foreground, and close other heavy tabs.
The output has no sound
The chosen container cannot carry the source audio codec — WebM cannot hold AAC, for example. Re-encode the audio instead of copying the stream.
The browser ran out of memory
The clip is too large to hold in memory. Trim it into shorter segments and process them one at a time.
